So, Tali, why come back for more???
Because when you have done something well, you can think of a million ways of doing it better. And when I reached the top of San Pedro volcano, I realized that all the sweat and tears were worth it. Because even though we raised well over 60,000 GBP as a group of people, and Scope raises millions every year, it still isn’t enough to help every single person in the UK who has cerebral palsy.

Why still Scope? Would you eat any other ketchup that wasn’t Heinz?? Seriously though, once you have made a commitment to a charity, it is surprisingly hard to just switch to someone else. My reasons for picking Scope in the first place were partly down to my volunteering with kids with cerebral palsy and those reasons are all still there. I feel like I have given to Scope and Scope gave me something back and once that relationship is there, it is pretty hard to break.

Worst moment of the trek in Guatemala? Last day, trying to climb a volcano with a bad case of the runs, zero energy and an intolerance to everything including water, legs in SO much pain, stomach in SO much pain, everything in SO much pain….do I need to go on?

Best moment? Last day, trying to climb a volcano with a bad case of the runs, zero energy and an intolerance to everything including water, legs in SO much pain, stomach in SO much pain, everything in SO much pain….and then reaching the top! AND making it back down again.

Would you recommend it to a friend? Without a doubt. Maybe not every year instead of the two week beach holiday in Mallorca, but everyone should give themselves a challenge every once in a while.
